Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian bagged third position in an online competition on “International Year of Millets 2023”. The aim of this competition was to create awareness about the health benefits of millet. Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma said that various colleges and academic institutions from Punjab took part in this competition, where our students grabbed the third position in the state. He also lauded Asst. Prof. Harpreet Kaur, Head, Department of Home Science for her incessant efforts behind this great accomplishment. Ms. Shiya graced the event as a chief guest. She felicitated the winners with different delicacies made from millets. Apprising about the event, Asst. Prof. Harpreet Kaur said the objective of this competition was to disseminate information about the qualities of millets and their health benefits. She further thanked the college managing committee and the college principal for their support and motivation. Dr. Sameer Mahajan (Coordinator), Dr. Ashok Chaudhary, Ms. Saransh, Ms. Niti, Mr. Bikramjit, Ms. Monika and Ms. Jaswinder Kaur were also present.
