A grand felicitation ceremony was organized at Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian, to honour the meritorious students who secured positions in the Panjab University merit list through their outstanding academic performance in the university examinations during the academic session 2025–26.

The ceremony celebrated the remarkable achievements of the students and recognized their dedication, perseverance and commitment to academic excellence. During the event, meritorious students were presented with cash awards and mementoes in appreciation of their outstanding performance at the university level.

In collaboration with Sh. Vicky Joshi ji and the K.K. Joshi Foundation (USA), cash prizes amounting to more than ₹5 lakh were awarded to students who brought laurels to the institution through their exceptional university-level achievements.

Among the top achievers, Niyati, who secured First Position in M.Sc. Chemistry at Panjab University and was awarded a Gold Medal, received a cash prize of ₹1 lakh. Roshni, who secured Second Position in M.Sc. Mathematics and was awarded a Silver Medal, received ₹75,000.Chahat, who secured Second Position in M.Sc. Physics and was also awarded a Silver Medal, received a cash prize of ₹75,000. Vanshika Thakur, who secured Third Position in M.Sc. Mathematics and was awarded a Bronze Medal, received ₹50,000.

In addition to these special awards, 24 students who secured positions in the Panjab University merit list were felicitated with mementoes in recognition of their academic accomplishments. All the university merit holders were also presented special cash awards by Sh. Ajay Aggarwal ji, in memory of his late father, Sh. Rajinder Aggarwal ji. This generous gesture further added significance to the occasion and reflected the spirit of encouraging and supporting academic excellence.

Recognizing the indispensable role of teachers in shaping students’ success, an appreciation amount of ₹50,000 each was presented to the Post Graduate Departments of Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. The gesture acknowledged the dedicated guidance, mentoring and tireless efforts of the faculty members whose academic support played a significant role in helping students achieve prestigious positions at the university level.

While welcoming the distinguished guests, members of the SPN College Management Committee, faculty members, parents and students, Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma congratulated all the meritorious students and their parents on their remarkable achievements. He appreciated their hard work and dedication and encouraged other students to draw inspiration from their high-performing peers. He emphasized that providing quality education along with better opportunities for students has always remained a key priority of SPN College. He urged the award-winning students not to regard their success as an endpoint, but as a stepping stone towards greater accomplishments and higher goals in life.

Addressing the gathering, Sh. Rajan Makkar ji, President of the College Managing Committee, congratulated the meritorious students and observed that their success was, in fact, a collective achievement of the entire college family. He remarked that whenever a student achieves a position at the university level, the accomplishment brings equal pride and honour to the student, parents, teachers and the institution. He appreciated the collective efforts that contribute to nurturing and developing talented students.

Sh. Ajit Narang ji, Senior Vice President, SPN College Management Committee, congratulated the award recipients and highlighted that success is the result of consistent hard work, discipline, perseverance and focused efforts in the right direction. He encouraged students to set clear goals, remain committed to continuous learning and utilize their abilities constructively while fulfilling their responsibilities towards society and the nation.

Sanjeev Anand ji, Secretary, SPN College Management Committee, stated that recognizing talented and meritorious students not only motivates them to strive for greater excellence but also inspires other students to improve their academic performance. He extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the award-winning students, their parents and teachers and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to identifying, nurturing and encouraging talent.

Dr. Rajesh Lakhanpal ji, Auditor, SPN College Management Committee, also congratulated the meritorious students on their outstanding achievements. He encouraged the students to continue working hard with dedication and determination and emphasized that sincere effort and perseverance are essential for achieving lasting success.

The event was also attended by Sh. Ajay Aggarwal ji and Sh. Barjinder Aggarwal ji as special guests. Their presence added warmth and significance to the felicitation ceremony.The prize distribution function was moderated by Prof. Vikram Singh.
