National Cadet Corps (NCC)

The NCC unit of SPN College Mukerian is proudly associated with 12 PB Battalion NCC Hoshiarpur under the Army Wing. The unit provides students with opportunities to develop leadership qualities, discipline, patriotism, confidence, and a spirit of national service.

Eligibility

  • Students seeking enrollment in NCC should fulfill the following conditions:
  • Must be a regular student of the college
  • Should be physically fit and disciplined

Major Activities & Achievements (Session 2025–26)

Enrollment Process

The NCC enrollment process was conducted by the PI Staff in the presence of ANO Lt. Dr. Gopi Sharma. Around 140 students appeared for the physical and selection trials for 46 available seats, reflecting the growing enthusiasm among students towards NCC activities.

Participation & Camps

  • NCC cadets actively participated in the Independence Day Parade held at Arya School, Mukerian.
  • 2 cadets attended the Adventure Camp at Manali, gaining exposure to trekking, endurance, and adventure-based training.
  • 1 cadet participated in the prestigious camp organized at Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.
  • During the Army Attachment Camp held at Jalandhar, 12 cadets represented the college and experienced military-style training and discipline.
  • Around 16 cadets participated in the YAMS Camp organized at Ropar, enhancing youth awareness, motivation, and social responsibility.
  • Cadets also attended CATC Camps and various NCC training activities throughout the session.
  • NCC cadets enthusiastically participated in several college-level programs and awareness activities, contributing actively to institutional events and social initiatives.
