Under the aegis of Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, Red Ribbon Club in collaboration with Biology department observed National Pollution Day. The aim of the event was to spread awareness regarding rising levels of pollution. Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma said National Pollution Control Day is observed on 2 December to spread awareness about the dangers caused due to polluted water, land, and air. He further highlighted the role that humans are playing in the growing rate of pollution. Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, Head, department of Biology said pollution is a major problem that not only India but also the whole world is battling with it. It is the duty of the respective government and also the people to reduce the level of pollution. On this occasion, a poster making competition was also organised, where Danish bagged first position. Komal Minhaas, and Vaishnavi grabbed the second and third positions,respectively. Asst. Prof. Anuradha(Incharge Red Ribbon Club) proposed a formal vote of thanks to the college managing committee, the college principal, and the students. Dr. Anjana Dadwal, Asst. Prof. Sonia Aggarwal, Asst. Prof. Mandeep Kaur, Asst. Prof. Tarandeep Kaur, Asst. Prof. Meenu, and Asst. Prof. Ajay were also present.
