A blood donation camp was organised by Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian in association with the Department of Hindi, DMC Ludhiana and Nehru Yuva Kendra, Hoshiarpur. The camp witnessed active participation from students and employees who volunteered to donate blood for the noble cause. The camp was inaugurated by the chief guests, Vice-president Sh. Ajit Narang and Secretary, College Managing Committee Sh. Sanjeev Anand. They were welcomed by Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma and other staff members. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma said that it gives us immense contentment to be able to contribute towards our community by way of donating blood for the needy patients. Nearly 90 volunteers from the college donated their blood for this noble cause. Vice-President Sh. Ajit Narang said that the aim of this camp was to inculcate social responsibility among students. Mr. Sanjeev Anand commended the volunteers. Dr. Sameer Mahajan, Head, department of Hindi enlightened students about the importance of donating blood. On this occasion, a poster making competition was also organised where the top three positions were bagged by Sabika, Samiksha and Jyoti. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. Sonia Sharma. The donors were awarded with certificates as a mark of appreciation. Dr. Arun Kumar, Prof. Narayan, Prof. Vikram, Prof. Ashok Chaudhary, Prof. Jasminder, Prof. Chandrashekhar, Prof. Bikramjit were also present at the event.
