The NSS wing of the college organized a webinar on “Save Environment” with the objective of making the students aware about the environmental issues. At the outset of the event, NSS girls’ wing incharge, Dr. Pushpinder Kumari cordially welcomed the dignitaries and introduced the topic to the audience. Talking about this issue, the Principal of the college, Dr. Sameer Sharma said that the college has taken steps to spread awareness and action for the protection of the environment. The college is working on waste management through vermicompost and thus providing livelihood support to the unemployed. One of the keynote speakers Mr. Dalvinder Kumar, Assistant Professor of Department of Economics; elucidated the importance of the day and laid emphasis on this year’s theme on “Only One Earth” with the focus on living sustainably in harmony with the Mother Nature. Another keynote speaker, Dr. Chandershekhar, Assistant Professor of Department of Physical Education; threw light on the immediate efforts to be made to safeguard our environment and restore our ecosystem. At the end, the NSS boys’ wing incharge Dr. Sameer thanked the college managing committee, the Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma, the keynote speakers and the audience for making the event successful.
