Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian celebrated the birth anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar who was a key architect of the Indian Constitution. A special one-day event was jointly organised by NSS, the department of Hindi, Women Cell and Nehru Yuva Kendra Hoshiarpur to commemorate Babasaheb’s teachings and works. Recalling the icon of our nation, Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma stated that Dr. BR Ambedkar dedicated his life to working for the upliftment of untouchables, women, and labourers. He further added that Dr. Ambedkar envisioned a society where the weaker sections, marginalised and downtrodden get equal rights and respect. Dr. Sameer Mahajan, Coordinator NSS, shared his views on Dr. Ambedkar’s life and teachings. The session ended with a note of thanks offered by Dr. Sonia Sharma.
