A special lecture dedicated to Khalsa Sajna Diwas and Jallianwala Bagh massacre was organized at Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian. The event was jointly hosted by the Post- graduate Departments of History and Punjabi. Dr. Pushpinder Kumari, Head, department of History began her discourse by drawing a vivid background of the Jallianwala Bagh event and the foundation of Khalsa Panth from a literary and historical background. Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma expounded over the bravery and esteemed nobility of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. He stated that Guru ji is without doubt the beau ideal of all. His spirit will continue to inspire people for the preservation of peace, order and dignity of mankind for all time to come. Dr. Kiranjit Kaur, Head, department of Punjabi, in her address dwelled upon a historical as well as academic and contemporary perspective of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. The session ended with a note of thanks offered by Asst. Prof. Anuradha. Asst. Prof. Ajay Kumar, Pardeep Singh, Gurinder Singh, Ms. Ritu, Ms. Sunita Rani and Ms. Randeep Kaur also participated in the event.
