SPN College Mukerian in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra Hoshiarpur and Social Welfare Club Ulaha organised Youth Training Programme. Principal Dr.Sameer Sharma was the chief guest of the event.While interacting with the students Principal Dr.Sameer Sharma stated that the main objective behind organising these types of events is to create awareness among youth about the contemporary issues of the society and trained them to cope – up with the same. Dr.Jasminder Singh , Department of Chemistry, also shared his views on prevalent culture of drugs in today’s youth and described how to create awareness in society about the drastic effects of drugs.On this occasion Asst.Prof.Seema( Hindi department)threw light on various schemes of government regarding the Drugs de- addiction centres, Rehabilitation centres etc.and stated that it’s a need of the hour that today’s youth should be aware of these schemes of government if, we want to nip the evil of drugs in bud. At the end Dr Sameer (HOD Hindi department) thanked worthy Management, Principal Dr.Sameer Sharma and Social Welfare Club Ulaha for their co-operation and making the event successful.
