NSS department of Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, in collaboration with Save Our Soul Charitable and Education Society along with Education Sanskriti Uthan Nias organised a seminar on”Character Building, Human Values and Education”. The event started with the welcome speech of Dr.Sonia ,Coordinator, NSS. The keynote speaker of the event was the President of the society, Mr. Rajpal. While conveying about the purpose of the seminar,Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma stated that in our Indian culture and tradition character building plays a pivotal role and if our character is righteous we are bound to excel high in life.While interacting with the students Mr. Rajpal addressed the various current issues and evils prevalent in the contemporary society. He further stated that if we want to get rid of these evils we have to build a strong character based upon strong human values. He further said that the prominent reason of our day to day deteriorating society is that we are lacking moral values and drifting apart from our rich culture and tradition. During the event, books related to the life of Chote Sahibzade were also distributed to the students by the society.In the end Dr.Sameer Mahajan ,Coordinator NSS , stated that in NEP 2020, character building is going to play a central role in our education system.He cordially thanked Mr. Rajpal, worthy Management and Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma for their guidance and encouragement
