NCC, NSS and Youth Club of Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian celebrated Voters Day on 25 January 2023 to encourage more young voters to take part in the electoral process. Sr. Vice-president Sh. Ajit Narang, Secretary Sh. Sanjeev Anand, and Auditor Dr. Rajesh Lakhanpal of SPN College Managing Committee were the eminent guests of the day.

Apprising about the significance of this day, Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma stated that on this day, the Election Commission of India creates awareness about the need to participate in the electoral process through voting. He said that every voter should value their right to vote and realize that it’s a privilege to be a voter in the largest democracy in the world. He added that the foundation of a successful democracy is laid on sound electoral processes. On this occasion, a poster making competition were also organised where the top three positions were bagged by Poonam, Arpana, Anjali and Babita. The college managing committee congratulated all the winners and encouraged students to participate in such events. In addition, the voter’s pledge was also administered by the college. The entire college faculty took part in the pledge ceremony.
