Under the stewardship of Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma, the Post Graduate Departments of History, English, Punjabi and NSS in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Hoshiarpur commemorated the birth anniversary of NetaJi Subhash Chandra Bose on 23 January 2023 with patriotic exuberance.
Principal, Dr. Sameer Sharma graced the event as the chief guest of the day. He gave a motivational speech on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s life to encourage students to imbibe the principles Netaji stood for. He highlighted Netaji’s indomitable spirit and contribution in the independence movement against British rule of India. He further stated that one should always remember the sacrifices of the patriots who fought tooth and nail to get freedom from colonialism. He lauded the endeavour of the departments to educate students about the exemplary life of this great patriot.
Dr. Pushpinder Kumari, Head, department of History threw light on Netaji’s selfless service to the nation. She apprised the students about the contribution of Netaji towards the liberation of his motherland and his vision for a progressive India.
NSS Coordinators Dr. Sameer and Dr. Sonia Sharma thanked the college principal and the college managing committee. The entire ceremony was effectively, efficiently and cordially moderated by Asst. Prof. Anuradha. This highly informative event witnessed the participation of uberly excited students and faculty members. Dr. Kiranjit Kaur (HoD, Punjabi), Asst. Prof. Nidhi Sood (HoD, English), Asst. Prof. Tarandeep, Asst. Prof. Rupinderjeet, Asst. Prof. Ritu and Asst. Prof. Bikramjit were also present there
