PU Inter Zonal Youth Festival Concludes At SPN College Mukerian

Ramgarhia College Ludhiana won the overall trophy

Leaving behind a trail of memories, the four- day 63rd Panjab University Inter Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival, organised at Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian, concluded last night. Nearly 3000 students from 190 colleges participated in various cultural, fine arts, and heritage items.

Ramgarhia College, Ludhiana won the overall Inter Zonal trophy. Dasmesh Girls College, Badal bagged the first runner- up trophy and Government College for Girls Sector 11, Chandigarh bagged the second- runner up trophy.

Director, Youth Welfare (Panjab University), Dr Rohit Kumar lauded the winning teams and the host college. The Coordinator of this entire event, Dr. Pushpinder Kumari and Co-coordinator Assoc. Prof. Vikram Singh expressed gratitude to Panjab University Vice- chancellor, Dr. Raj Kumar, Director Dr. Rohit Sharma, and Deputy Director Tejinder Pal Singh.

Rajan Makkar, President, the college managing committee thanked the secretary of the college management committee Sanjeev Anand for his incessant efforts in this youth festival. He further expressed gratitude to SPN Nursing Hospital, Punjab National Bank, Jangi Lal Mahajan (MLA, Mukerian). He congratulated Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma and the entire SPN faculty for their indefatigable efforts and conspicuous hard work for making this Inter Zonal a successful event.

On this occasion, the college management committee, Former MLA Arunesh Shakar and Indu Kumari were also present. The principals and zone contingent in-charges from different colleges were also felicitated by the college. The students performed Ghidda on the concluding day of this event, where Government College for Girls Sector 11, Chandigarh won the first position.
