The Science faculty of Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya celebrated ‘National Science Day’ on 28 february to commemorate the invention of the ‘The Raman Effect’ by the Veteran physicist Sir Chandrashekhara Venkata Raman.Principal, Dr Sameer Sharma graced the occasion with his benign presence. Addressing the students,he discussed how the contribution of science and technology has revolutionised our day to day activities and made our life much easier.
A number of events, such as Declamation contest, Science quiz,Poster making and Model making were organised to mark the occasion and to inculcate scientific temper among the students.The students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.The winners were also felicitated with prizes. The members of Science faculty including Prof. Arun Sharma ,Prof. Narayan Singh,Prof. Parveen Saini,Prof. PK Singla,Prof. Jagdish Singh,Prof. Amit Bhatia,Prof. Pankaj Sareen and Prof.Gurpreet kaur gave their commendable contribution in making the event successful.
