The departments of Economics and Commerce of Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian organised an expert talk and panel discussion on “Understanding Budget 2023-24”. Dr. Rajiv Puri and Prof. Amit Jain from DAV College, Jalandhar were the keynote speakers for the event. Principal, Dr. Sameer Sharma welcomed the speakers with a bouquet of flowers. He further lauded the efforts of the departments for organising the talk on such a pertinent topic. In his lecture, Dr. Rajiv Puri highlighted the pros and cons of Budget 2023-24. Prof. Amit Jain talked at length about Income tax. The programme came to an end with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Anjana Dadhwal, HoD Commerce. She thanked the keynote speakers, college Principal, college Managing Committee, and students. On this occasion, faculty members from both departments were also present.
