As per the directions of Govt.of India, Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian organised an event to mark 75 years of Independence as a part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”. The initiative was jointly taken by the NCC, NSS, Red Ribbon and Youth Club. While interacting with students Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma congratulated them on the eve of Independence day and impressed upon them selflessness and dedication towards the nation.
At the outset of the event, Asst. Prof. Anuradha (Incharge Red Ribbon and Youth Club) expounded over the theme of Amrit ka Mahotsav. Dr. Pushpinder Kumari (Incharge NSS) paid homage to the charismatic revolutionaries who made supreme sacrifices for the motherland. Dr. Sameer Mahajan (Incharge NSS) enlightened students about the duties towards their country.
On this occasion, a declamation contest was also organised where the top three positions were bagged by Ravit Dadwal, Babita and Anjali. An oath taking ceremony was also organised by the college. Dr. Gopi Sharma (Incharge NCC) proposed a formal vote of thanks. The program capped off with the National Anthem and distribution of National flags amongst students.
