The department of Political Science, NSS and Women Cell of Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian organized an event on the occasion of “Constitution Day” on November 26 to commemorate the adoption of the constitution of India. Dr. Pushpinder Kumari, In charge NSS ( Girls Wing) highlighted the significance of constitution day and the vision and principles advocated by Dr. Ambedkar. Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma talked about the need of the constitution, its functions and role in the society. He also paid tribute to Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar who played an important role in the framing of Indian constitution.

Dr. Sameer Mahajan, Dr. Sonia and Dr. Amrinder Kaur also spoke on the significance of the day and highlighted the meaning and importance of the constitution. A poster making competition was also organised to encourage and make the students aware of the Indian Constitution. Dr. Ashok Chaudhary, Dr. Jasminder, Prof. Bikramjit and Prof. Harpreet were also present.
