An event on World Ozone Day 2021, was organized by the Department of Biology at Swami Premanand Mahavidyalya, Mukerian under the guidance of Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma. The event under the theme, ‘Montreal Protocol-Keeping us, our food and vaccines cool’ aimed at spreading the awareness to control the production as well the consumption of substances which are responsible for depletion of the utmost important layer , the ozone layer. Principal, Dr. Sameer Sharma addressed and encouraged the students to actively participate and organize such events which can leave a message for the general public to be aware about such disastrous environmental consequences. The students of B.Sc. Medical and Advanced Diploma in Organic Farming made the event successful by making posters and displaying them to spread the awareness. Ms Meenu Assistant Professor , Mr. Ajay Assistant Professor and Neha, laboratory assistant Department of Biology monitored the event actively. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr, Gurpreet Kaur, Head, Department of Biology.
