Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian, organized a special seminar dedicated to the birth anniversary of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji under the aegis of the Post Graduate Department of Punjabi. The objective of the seminar was to acquaint students with the life of Guru Ravidas Ji, his philosophy based on equality, and his message of humanity.

The chief guest of the seminar, Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma, in his address highlighted the relevance of Guru Ravidas Ji’s teachings in contemporary society and motivated students to adopt his ideals in their lives.

As the keynote speaker, former Principal Sh. Navtej Gardhiwala elaborated on Guru Ravidas Ji’s role as a social reformer and his significant contribution to the Bhakti movement. The second keynote speaker, Lecturer Sh. Mandeep Kumar, shared his views on Guru Ravidas Ji’s humanistic ideology and message of equality.

The special guest of the event, Dr. Sarbjot Singh, President of Punjabi Sahit Sabha, Mukerian, stated in his speech that Guru Ravidas Ji conveyed the message of devotion to the masses through his gentle nature and humble style, rising above caste distinctions and spreading the message of universal brotherhood.

At the conclusion of the seminar, Dr. Kiranjit Kaur, Head Post Graduate Department of Punjabi, extended a special vote of thanks to the SPN College Management Committee, the chief guest Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma, special guest Dr. Sarbjot Singh, keynote speakers former Principal Navtej Gardhiwala and Lecturer Mandeep Kumar. The responsibility of stage management was also efficiently handled by Dr. Kiranjit Kaur.

On this occasion, Prof. Paramjit Kaur, Prof. Sunita Rani, Prof. Randeep Kaur, Prof. Lakhwinder Singh, Prof. Ritu, and Prof. Chetna were present as special attendees.
