S.P.N. Collegiate Se. Sec. School, Mukerian, organised an inter-school competition titled “Hunar 2025-26” with great enthusiasm and zeal on the campus of Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian. Students from various schools across the region participated actively and showcased their creative, intellectual, and artistic talents with remarkable confidence. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Sanjeev Anand, Secretary of the College Management Committee, and Dr. Rajesh Lakhanpal, Auditor, College Management Committee as the chief guests.
Addressing the students, Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma emphasised that students are the future of the nation and must be prepared for the challenges of tomorrow from the school level itself. He added that such programmes play a vital role in the overall personality development of students, and S.P.N. Collegiate Se. Sec. School consistently strives to create such meaningful opportunities.
Apprising about the event, Ms. Mandeep Kaur, In-charge of S.P.N. Collegiate School and organiser of the Hunar competition, informed that the entire programme was conducted under the guidance of the College Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma. The primary objective of the event was to provide a common platform for students from different schools and to nurture and refine their inherent skills.
A total of ten competitions were organised, including Working Model, Poster Display, Collage Making, Solo Folk Song, Solo Dance, Best Out of Waste, Quiz, Debate, Flameless Cooking, and Mehndi Application.
Students securing first, second, and third positions in various competitions were awarded prizes, and participants from different schools were also felicitated for their enthusiastic participation.
On this occasion, setting a commendable example of social service, Mr. Baldev Kumar (Kumar Painter), Founder of Sarv Pitri Mukti and Manav Kalyan Sanstha, generously donated ₹57,000 for the support of needy students of the institution.
In the Overall Junior Trophy, S.V.J.C. D.A.V. Public School, Dasuya, Doon Public School, and Springdale Public School secured the first, second, and third positions respectively. Similarly, in the Overall Senior Trophy, S.P.N. Collegiate School, JBKSCMG Kanya Senior Secondary School, and Springdale Public School achieved the first, second, and third positions respectively.
At the conclusion of the programme, Dr. Jyoti Sharma and Prof. Aarti, the stage coordinators, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the College Managing Committee and Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma for their constant support. Special thanks were also extended to the principals, teachers, and students of all participating schools for their valuable cooperation.
