Seven-Day NSS Camp Inaugurated at Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya

The NSS Wing of Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya inaugurated its seven-day special camp with great enthusiasm. A total of 150 volunteers are participating in the camp, which aims to strengthen the spirit of social service, cleanliness, and rural development.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Principal, Dr. Sameer Sharma, as the chief guest. The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a rendition of Saraswati Vandana, creating an atmosphere filled with energy and enthusiasm.

Following this, Programme Officers Dr. Sonia Sharma and Dr. Ashok Chaudhary welcomed Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma and presented the detailed outline of the camp. They informed that during the seven-day camp, volunteers will actively participate in activities such as cleanliness drives, tree plantation, anti-drug awareness campaigns, and various social and cultural programs.

After the welcome address by Dr. Sonia Sharma, the chief guest Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma addressed the volunteers, stating — “Organizations like NSS play a vital role in developing discipline, leadership qualities, and a sense of social responsibility among students. Youth should contribute to nation-building through service to society.” He extended his best wishes to all the volunteers for the success of the camp.

The first day of the camp concluded with a tree plantation drive, during which volunteers planted various saplings in the campus, spreading the message of environmental protection.

At the end of the program, Dr. Ashok Chaudhary expressed gratitude to the college management committee, the chief guest Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma, both programme officers, and all the volunteers. He stated that this camp would further strengthen the spirit of service, dedication, and teamwork among students.

Over the next seven days, the camp will continue to inspire students with the message of “Service is the Supreme Duty” through various social, cultural, and awareness-oriented activities.
