Hindi Diwas Celebrated with Great Enthusiasm at S.P.N. College, Mukerian
The Post Graduate Department of Hindi at SPN College, Mukerian, celebrated Hindi Diwas with great zeal and dignity. On this occasion, a Poster-Making Competition and a Story Writing Competition were organized on the theme “Bhartiya Knowledge System and Hindi Literature.”
The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp before Goddess Saraswati by Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma. Following this, he inaugurated the campaign “Mere Hastakshar Hindi Mein” by putting signatures in Hindi. Under this campaign, all students, teaching, and non-teaching staff actively participated and pledged to promote the use of Hindi.
On this occasion, the Hindi Department also formed the “Hindi Literary Society.” Different responsibilities were assigned to students, making them aware of their roles and duties.
Dr. Sonia Sharma, Head, Post Graduate Department of Hindi, in her address, inspired the students by highlighting the significance of the Hindi language and the importance of celebrating this day.
A story writing activity related to Indian knowledge tradition and a poetry recitation session were also conducted. Students enthusiastically shared their views on the importance of Hindi Diwas and recited poems dedicated to the language, creating an inspiring and lively atmosphere.
While extending his best wishes to the students, Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma remarked:
“Hindi is our identity; it is not just a language but the very soul of India. We should call our nation ‘Bharat,’ not ‘India,’ as it truly reflects our authentic culture and heritage.”
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members of all departments, who expressed their deep respect and commitment towards the Hindi language.
