Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian, has once again demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility by extending a helping hand to flood-affected families of Punjab. At a time when the state is facing severe challenges due to devastating floods, the college community has stepped forward to provide relief and support.
In a united initiative, the NCC, NSS, Red Ribbon Club, and Youth Club and various departmental societies of the college jointly launched a Flood Relief Donation Drive in the campus. The campaign appeals to students, staff, alumni, and the local community to contribute wholeheartedly towards this humanitarian cause.
Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma encouraged everyone to come forward and make meaningful contributions. He emphasized that the real spirit of education lies not only in academics but also in serving humanity during times of crisis.
The donation drive invites contributions in the form of both monetary aid and essential items such as rice, wheat flour, mustard oil, biscuits, soaps, used clothes, and other daily necessities. Even the smallest contribution can make a significant difference in rebuilding lives and bringing comfort to families who have lost everything.
Student volunteers expressed that it is their duty, beyond classrooms and uniforms, to serve the nation and stand with the people of Punjab in these testing times. The initiative is expected to inspire many others in the community to join hands and strengthen the relief efforts.
With the slogan “Serve with Pride, Help with Heart”, the drive reflects the values of compassion, unity, and service to humanity that SPN College has always upheld.
The college fraternity appealed to all to extend their support, reminding everyone that together, we can bring hope, relief, and smiles to those battling the aftermath of floods.
