Deputy Commissioner, Hoshairpur Ms. Aashika Jain Graced Teej Festival Celebration at SPN College, Mukerian

Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian, celebrated the festival of Hariyali Teej with great enthusiasm and joy. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner of Hoshiarpur, Mrs. Aashika Jain (IAS), graced the college as the Chief Guest. In addition, SDM Mukerian, Mr. Ankur Mohinderu (PCS), along with members of the College Managing Committee — Senior Vice President Mr. Ajit Narang ji & Mrs. Chanchal Narang ji, General Secretary Mr. Vinod Swaraj ji & Mrs. Varsha Swaraj ji, Secretary Mr. Sanjeev Anand ji & Mrs. Meenakshi Anand ji, Auditor Dr. Rajesh Lakhanpal ji and Mrs. Joginder Kaur ji, Mrs. Shakar ji, Mrs. Umesh Narang ji, Mrs. Renu Aggarwal ji, and Mr. Arjun Narang were also specially present.

Upon arrival at the college campus, Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma along with the entire staff extended a warm floral welcome to the Chief Guest. The stage was conducted by Dr. Kiranjeet Kaur and Dr. Sonia Sharma.

In his welcome address, Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma said that festivals like Teej help us stay connected to our cultural roots and instill the spirit of Indianness among students.
Chief Guest Ms. Aashika Jain, DC Hoshiarpur, extended greetings to everyone on the occasion and remarked that a balanced development of education and culture is essential for society.
Senior Vice President SPN College Management Committee, Sh. Ajit Narang ji said that festivals like Teej are symbols of women empowerment and cultural heritage, which work to unite society.
Secretary SPN College Managing Committee, Sh. Sanjeev Anand ji, addressed the students and emphasized that the students should actively participate not only in academics but also in traditions and cultural events, as these form the foundation of Indian life philosophy.

On this occasion, a free health check-up camp was also organized by NCC, NSS, and the Red Ribbon Club. Dr. G.P. Singh and Dr. Akhil Batra, along with their teams, provided their services. Around 80 students and staff members availed themselves of this health facility.

The college ECA Committee organized a vibrant cultural program in which students captivated the audience with Punjabi folk songs, dances, and Giddha. Additionally, the Post Graduate Department of Punjabi, under the guidance of Dr. Kiranjeet Kaur and her team, organized a theme-based exhibition on Punjabi culture, which received special appreciation from the guests and audience.

In the end, the organizing departments expressed gratitude to the Chief Guests, Managing Committee, and the entire college family. On this occasion, a large number of staff members and students were present.
