Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian, witnessed a vibrant and heartfelt celebration of Independence Day, marked by immense patriotism and enthusiasm. The event, jointly organised by the NCC, NSS, Red Ribbon Club, and Youth Club of the college, brought together students, faculty, and staff in a shared spirit of national pride.
The day’s proceedings commenced with the arrival of the Chief Guest, College Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma with a dignified salute to the Tricolour reminded everyone of the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters and urged students to uphold the values of unity, integrity, and selfless service to the nation.
The celebrations were enriched by spirited student participation in patriotic song, poem, and speech competitions, where voices and words echoed love for the motherland. A special highlight of the programme was the creative display prepared under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. Students designed attractive selfie stands inspired by the National Flag, making the Selfie with Tiranga activity a joyful and engaging attraction for all.
The atmosphere throughout the campus was charged with patriotism—tricolour decorations, fluttering flags, and smiling faces reflected the collective pride of the college community.
In the concluding session, Dr. Sonia Sharma, Dr. Ashok Choudhary, Dr. Gopi Sharma, and Prof. Anuradha expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the college management and Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma for their unwavering support and encouragement. They commended the efforts of the organising teams and the active involvement of students in making the celebration a memorable and inspiring event.
The day ended not just as a commemoration of India’s independence, but as a reaffirmation of the college’s commitment to fostering patriotism, civic responsibility, and a deep respect for the nation’s heritage.
