The Departments of Home Science and Fashion Designing at Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian, organized a workshop on Tie and Dye techniques, specially themed for the Holi festival. The objective of this workshop was to provide students with practical knowledge of traditional fabric dyeing techniques and creative design development.

Senior Vice President, Sh. Ajit Narang ji and Secretary Sh. Sanjeev Anand ji attended the event on behalf of the SPN College Management Committee. Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma welcomed the esteemed members of the management committee, followed by an exhibition tour by all distinguished guests.

During the workshop, students showcased their self-dyed colorful fabrics, reflecting their creativity and skills. Through this activity, they learned about color combinations, innovative design methods, and sustainable fashion techniques.

On this occasion, Prof. Monika Saini, on behalf of the Head of the Home Science Department, Prof. Harpreet Kaur, expressed gratitude to the college management committee and Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma for their continuous support. Laboratory Assistant Ms. Jyoti was also present, providing guidance to students throughout the workshop and appreciating their efforts.

This workshop not only blended the festive spirit of Holi with creativity but also enhanced the students’ designing skills and encouraged them to adopt eco-friendly fashion techniques.
