Vigilance Awareness Week:An Awareness Program


Vigilance Awareness Week is observed annually in India to raise awareness against corruption and promote integrity in both public and private sectors. The Anti-Ragging Committe in collaboration with Post Graduate Department of Political Science organized a multitude of events on the theme ‘Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity’ marking the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who is considered a symbol of integrity and a guiding force for the country’s civil services.
Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma appreciated this public outreach program to spread the awareness and
encouraging ethical behavior and transparency in government and business activities.
The event proceeded with a pledge taking ceremony followed by various events. To encourage youth participation and sharing awareness messages various competitions such as Debate, Poster making, Slogan Writing, Essay Writing were organized.
Distributing informative importance of vigilance in daily operations Dr. Amrinder Kaur, Head, Post Graduate Department of Political Science and In-Charge Anti- Ragging Committe on this event emphasized the importance of being proactive, upholding ethical values, and committing to a corruption-free society. It is a collective effort to ensure accountability and integrity in all spheres. In this event Prof. Tarandeep Kaur served as judge of the Debate and essay writing competition, the slogan and poster making was assessed by Prof. Shaina Parmar. The winners of these events were felicitated with certificates. The event was successful with the collaborative efforts of Prof. Sukhwinder, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, Prof. Rekha Rani, Dr. Chander Shekhar and Navjot Kaur. The enthusiastic participation by the staff and the students made the event more meaningful. In conclusion of the event, Dr. Amrinder Kaur expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma who has always supported and guided the conduct such awareness campaigns and the SPN College Management Committee for their support.
