It is a proud moment for the SPN College, Mukerian when Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma honored with the Award of Excellence on the occasion of 78th Independence Day Celebration by SDM, Mukerian, Sh. Ashok Kumar.
A grand event dedicated to Independence Day was also organized at Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian. The program included a Tiranga rally, an oath-taking ceremony, tree plantation, patriotic songs, and poetry recitations. Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma, extended heartfelt Independence Day greetings to the students and the SPN College staff. In his address, he emphasized that the future of India rests on the shoulders of the youth. He stressed that it is our utmost duty to fulfill the dreams of India’s brave freedom fighters. Following this, he honored the NCC cadets by awarding them ranks.
Additionally, the best-performing students from the previous year in NSS, Red Ribbon, and NCC were awarded certificates. All students who participated in the event were given plants, and they took an oath to protect them. Various activities were conducted under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan and the North India Cultural Centre, Patiala.
All students were encouraged to actively participate in the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign. Through the Tiranga rally, the community was made aware of the spirit of patriotism. The event concluded with students performing patriotic songs and reciting poems.
Prof. Anuradha, In-Charge of the Red Ribbon and Youth Club, hosted the event and expressed gratitude to the SPN College Management Committee and Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma for their continuous support. On this occasion, NSS in-charge Dr. Sonia Sharma, Dr. Ashok Chaudhary, NCC in-charge Dr. Gopi Sharma, Prof. Tarandeep Kaur, Prof. Rekha Rani, Dr. Amrinder Kaur, Prof. Shaina Parmar, and the entire SPN College staff, along with students, were present.
