Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian’s Post Graduate Department of Hindi in collaboration with the Bhartiya Bhasha Samiti (Ministry of Education, Government of India) and the Bhartiya Bhasha Manch, organized a lecture series on ” Jagadguru Shankaracharya Ji Ke Darshan, Bhartiya Ekaamtma aur Bhashayein”. Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma, mentioned that the lecture series, sponsored by the Bhartiya Bhasha Samiti, Ministry of Education, Government of India with a sanctioned grant of Rs 50,000/-. Sh Sanjeev Anand, Secretary of the College Management Committee was the Chief Guest of the event. as the chief guest.
The program was conducted by Dr. Sonia Sharma, Head, Post Graduate Department of Hindi. She introduced the topics of the symposium and formally welcomed all guests and attendees. After this Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma, welcomed chief guest ShSanjeev Anand Ji, Secretary, SPN College Management Committee, the speakers Dr. Kulbhushan Sharma and Dr. Sameer from Punjab Central University, Bathinda, with floral bouquets. The chief guest, Sh Sanjeev Anand Ji extended his best wishes to the organizing department and shared his invaluable thoughts on the spiritual significance of the symposium topic. He described Jagadguru Shankaracharya as the embodiment of the Indian knowledge tradition. Subsequently, the main speakers acquainted the students with the life philosophy of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Ji through their lectures. Dr. Kulbhushan Sharma elaborated on the Advaita perspective of Jagatguru Shankaracharya, while Dr. Sameer Mahajan presented his evaluation of Shankaracharya Ji’s interpretation of the Upanishads from a research perspective. They depicted Shankaracharya Ji’s Advaita philosophy as interconnected with individual, societal, and national perspectives, emphasizing that individuals, society, and the nation are inseparable and have a unified existence. At the end, Dr. Sonia Sharma expressed gratitude on behalf of the college to the Bhartiya Bhasha Samiti , Bhartiya Bhasha Samiti , and the main speakers. She thanked the College Management Committee and Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma, for their continual support.
