The Red Ribbon and Youth Club in tandem with the Department of Biology observed World Cancer Day to make students informed about the misconceptions related to cancer and the adverse effects of negligence towards cancer diseases. Addressing the students, Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma said Cancer knows no boundaries—it affects individuals and families from all walks of life. We must reflect on the courage and resilience of those battling cancer, as well as the tireless efforts of researchers, healthcare professionals, and caregivers who work tirelessly to combat this disease. Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, HoD, Biology provided detailed information about cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection and treatment. Ms. Anuradha (Dean, Red Ribbon and Youth Club) thanked the college managing committee and the college Principal for their unwavering support. At the end of the program, students displayed posters with slogans to create awareness about cancer. On this occasion, Prof. P.K. Singla, Dr. Anjana Dadwal, Prof. Sukhpal, Prof. Mandeep, Prof. Tarandeep Kaur, Dr. Chandrashekhar, Prof. Meenu, Prof. Isha, and Prof. Parmjeet were also present at the event.
