The Student Development Center in collaboration with Student Council at Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian organized one day National Seminar on ‘Towards 2030:Teaching the SDGs National Seminar for Learners’ in support with the Institute for Environment Conservation Advocacy, Hyderabad. The seminar started with the welcome adress by Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, Incharge Student Development Centre. Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma welcomed Mr. Samarath Sharma, Regional Director, IECA and Mr. Ajay Tanwar, State Head, IECA. Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma encouraged such seminars and praised the organizing committee for their efforts.
Mr. Samarath Sharma, Regional Head, IECA discussed the sustainable development Goals and motivated the students to work for the welfare of the society. Mr. Ajay Tanwar, State Head, IECA discussed the role of sustainable development , conservation of environment and promotion of local industry.
The speakers gave a very enlightening talk which encouraged the students to work for the welfare and upliftment of the society.
The interactive session of the seminar was moderated by Dr. Anjana Dadhwal and Dr. Amrinder Kaur . The session concluded by vote of thanks by Prof. Shaina Parmar. She thanked the speakers of the seminar for guiding the students. She also expresses gratitude towards SPN College Managing Committee and Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma for their support in conduct of the national seminar. The full enthusiastic participation by the students in the seminar was praiseworthy.
