Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian organized a 21-day Faculty Development Program( FDP) on ‘Empower Edu: Transformative Teaching in NEP Era’. The FDP commenced on 2nd December 2023 and will conclude on 24th December 2023. On the first day of the FDP, Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma welcomed the participants and outlined the agenda of the 21-day FDP. He also emphasized the college’s preparedness to implement New Education Policy ( NEP) and highlighted the challenges that could be addressed through this programme. Dr. Jasminder Singh, NEP Coordinator of the college and the Organizing Secretary of the FDP gave an overview of the lectures/talks and discussion sessions to be covered in the 21-day FDP. He further started the first technical session by introducing the speaker of the technical session of the first day of the FDP, Dr. Gulshan Kumar, the Senior Professor of the college who retired as Head, Postgraduate Department of English of the college. Dr. Gulshan Kumar gave valuable insights on creative skills in effective teaching. He discussed the methods and techniques which can make teaching learning process more effective and efficient. The technical session concluded by vote of thanks by Dr. Jasminder Singh. He expressed gratitude to Dr. Gulshan Kumar for his very elaborative and explanatory session on the inaugural day of FDP. He also extended thanks to SPN College Managing Committee and Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma for their support in organizing the FDP.
