Students of Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian performed exceptionally well in the Panjab University Inter-college Gatka competition held at Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Jhar Sahib from 18 November to 19 November. The men’s gatka team proved its mettle by winning 5 gold medals and one bronze medal. The girls’ team made its mark by winning the bronze. Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma extolled the winners as well as staff members of Physical Education for this achievement. He further said that the college is providing a huge opportunity to students who want to excel in sports. The college, full of all sports facilities, has been providing various facilities to outstanding players. Dr. Chandarshekar and Asst. Prof. Bikramjit expressed gratitude to the college principal and the college managing committee for their support and encouragement to the players. On this occasion, coach Inderpreet Singh and victorious players were also present there.
