Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian organised an extravaganza “Unite With Light” to celebrate Diwali with great enthusiasm and gaiety. Senior Vice- president of the college managing committee Sh. Ajit Narang and Mrs. Chanchal Narang were the Chief Guests of the day. Secretary of the college managing committee, Sh. Sanjeev Anand and Mrs. Meenakshi Anand graced the occasion as the Guests of Honour for the day.
Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma welcomed the guests with floral bouquets. Sh. Ajit Narang addressed the students and glorified this institution of learning which has touched the zenith of academic excellence over the years.
The enthralling dance performances of gidha, luddi, general dance and folk songs filled up unbridled energy in the air.
The event further entered into its main joyous stage where the guests experienced an electrifying feeling of joy in sync with the infectious beats of ebullient folk songs of famous punjabi singer and alumnus of the college Mr Navjeet Multani.
The most awaited part of the day which augmented the excitement was the announcement of lucky draw winners.
Apart from this, students who had made it to the University merit list previous year were also felicitated. To pep up the festival mood, stalls of chat, golgappe, dosa, tikki were also put up by the students.
At the end of the event, Sh. Sanjeev Anand lauded the efforts of the college principal and the organisers for organising this scintillating event.
