A cleanliness campaign was organized by Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian’s N.C.C students under the guidance of the Central and Punjab Governments and with the support of Municipal Committee, Mukerian. N.C.C Incharge, Lieutenant Dr. Gopi Sharma, informed that under the direction of Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma, the N.C.C cadets of the college carried out the cleaning of the city’s community hall and the public park. They also sensitized the city residents about cleanliness. Subsequently, the Municipal Committee,Mukerian awarded the students with prizes and certificates for their keen interest in such social works. College Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma commended the students for their special contribution to this labor of inspiration for the welfare of society, stating that these new youth of the country are doing inspirational work for societal welfare, and their efforts of social welfare will also inspire the society to work for such noble causes. Before this, the college students had organized a rally in the entire city for cleanliness with the support of the Municipal Committee and cleanliness-related activities were also conducted in the college. Under the Swachhata Abhiyan 2023, the college is actively participating in the form of voluntary service. The College Management Committee and College Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma also appreciated and thanked Municipal Committee, Mukerian, Mr. Vinod Kumar, the head of Mukerian Municipal Council, and his assistants Mr. Deepak Kumar, Mr. Ashok Kumar, and S. Balvinder Singh for their special support in this social welfare work and for guiding the students.
