Keeping in tune with an intense social responsibility, more than 50 cadets of NCC and NSS of Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian in collaboration with Municipal Council Mukerian have taken the initiative of organising a Swachhta Abhiyan Rally (Cleanliness Drive). Apprising about the event, Lieutenant Dr. Gopi Sharma (Incharge NCC) said that this fifteen-day “Indian Swachhta League 2.0″ starts from 17 September and culminates on 02 October. In this campaign, cleaning of public places, boycott of plastic polythene and various related activities were carried out. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma said the event aimed to raise awareness about cleanliness and encourage students to actively participate in keeping their surroundings clean and free from litter. He applauded the strenuous efforts of the staff members of Municipal Council Mukerian for leading the cleanliness campaign in the entire city. Dr. Chandra Shekhar and senior officials of the Municipal Council Mukerian were present there.
