The Post Graduate Department of Computer Science at Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya, Mukerian organized an event to commemorate the National IT Professionals Day . Prof. Pankaj Sareen, Head, Department of Computer Science welcomed Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma and the participants of the event. While addressing the students he explained that every year, on the third Tuesday of September, Professional IT Day is celebrated as an honour and to pay homage to the Network Engineers, Scientists, Data Scientists who have made significant contributions to the field of technology. He also discussed the renowned Computer Scientists, the founders of programming languages, and the prospects of employment in IT for students. Furthermore Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma, congratulated the Department of Computer Science for enlightening the students on IT and it’s perspectives and encouraged the Department to organize more such programs for the benefit of the students to guide them for future career building in this field. He also emphasized the importance of skill development courses alongside education, especially in the era of Artificial Intelligence, which holds great promise for companies to profit in the future. Therefore, there is a growing demand for experts in Artificial Intelligence among the youth. Studying in this field can secure a better and more secure career. The presentations by the B. Sc. Students added more value to the event. Prof. Praveen Kumar at the end of the event expressed gratitude for the special support provided by the College Management Committee and Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma on this occasion.
