The department of Physical Education in collaboration with the NSS Club celebrated National Sports Day on August 29, 2023. Commemorating the birth anniversary of the legendary Indian hockey player, Major Dhyan Chand, various sports competitions like cricket, volleyball, Gataka, Yoga, and Chess were organised in the college. The objective of these competitions was to instill a sense of love and respect towards sports in the minds of students. The event also helped identify budding athletes among the newly joined students. Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma said our college has a stupendous track record of accomplishments in academics as well as sports. He further added that the event aimed at encouraging students to inculcate physical activity and sports in their everyday lives. Dr. Jasminder Singh (Incharge, Sports Committee) thanked the college principal and the college managing committee for their incessant support and motivation. NSS incharge Dr. Sonia Sharma, Dr. Pardeep Senghar, Dr. Chandrashekhar (HoD, Physical Education), and Prof. Bikramjit were also present there.
